Kiran Chetry

Without a doubt Kiran Chetry is one of the most talked about women on TV; so we thought she deserved her own web site.  And we think you’ll agree that she deserved one too!

Want to know more about Kiran Chetry?  Well, this site is your resource for everything you need to know about this CNN anchor…past, present, and future.

For instance, did you know that Kiran’s middle name is Carrie, or that she was born in Kathmandu, Nepal!?  That’s right, she’s half Nepalese.  We think that’s part of what makes her so uniquely attractive.

She’s half Asian and half European (Ukrainian, Dutch, & German)…and her parents met in Nepal while her mother was in the Peace Corps.  Perhaps that’s what the world needs today, more Peace Corps volunteers, right?!  If they produce women like Kiran, then we’re all for it.

Kiran grew up in Maryland and went to the University of Maryland.   After graduation she worked her way up through the journalistic ranks within the local WICU-TV network, with stints in Erie, Pennsylvania and Sacramento, California.  But, by 2001 Fox News came calling and Ms. Chetry answered by charging full force onto the national news scene.

Kiran Chetry is a woman of unique, beauty, and talent and we believe good things to come for her in the future.  Yes, she came in third in Maxim magazine’s TV’s Sexist New Anchors, but with a name that means “ray of light”, we think she’ll go much further than that!  Stayed tune, America.
